Protect and safeguard your instruments with a humidifier! Musicians spend thousands of dollars for premium instruments, but may not know how harmful dry air can be for their longevity.

Fretted Instruments

Guitars, violins, cellos and more require close monitoring. Air that lacks moisture will cause several issues, including rough fret edges, curved guitar ceilings, cracking, and sound distortion. If you’re living in dry climates, the solution is to humidify! Relative humidity levels between 40% to 60% are ideal. Not to mention, temperature can be a huge factor for instrument durability, so make sure it stays between 66-77 °F (19-25 °C).

Pianos

Like guitars, pianos are made of wood and utilize strings to produce sound. Low humidity levels can cause structural damage, poor tuning, and the hammers to lose their felt. Piano repair can be extremely costly, so it’s recommended to keep relative humidity levels between 40% to 60% and the temperature between 66-77 °F (19-25 °C) to prevent damage.

Our Recommendation: The HORIZON

With easy-to-use digital controls and evaporative humidification, the HORIZON is the perfect option for music rooms! Plus, the modern wood-tone finish will look great next to your guitars.
