All plants need water to survive. And in addition to the water in their soil, there are many plants that thrive when there is ample water in their air.

Check out the plants around your home and see if you have any of the ones on our list below. These guys love humidity. Adding a humidifier to your plant room or the whole house is the easiest and healthiest way to add humidity for your plants and for you!

Air plants on white trays with black scissors beside them. Plants have vibrant red and green leaves. Minimalist and calm setting.

Air Plant

These crazy little guys don’t need soil, but they do need water and they love humidity. They also need sunlight, so putting them in a dim bathroom might not make them super happy.

Bird’s Nest Fern

We love this fern! And with a little light and a lot of moisture, this plant loves life. Give this one extra humidity, and it will thank you with big growth and less browning. Their popular cousin, the Boston Fern, is also a lover of humidity.

Alocasia

This beautiful plant loves a bright home with lots of humidity. Do keep an eye on them if they are close to a window as their leaves can sometimes get sunburned.

White kitchen with wooden countertops, adorned with lush green plants. Bright, serene mood. Wicker pendant light and stacked jars add charm.

Pothos

Pothos is a great plant for those without the greenest of thumbs. It’s a sturdy little fella that doesn’t mind too much if you forget to water it…and a lot of pothos parents forget to water these (speaking from experience). Adding a humidifier gives pothos extra moisture during accidental dry spells.

Spider Plant

This household favorite loves a moist environment and pays you back by removing gross stuff like formaldehyde and carbon monoxide from your air.

Peace Lily

One of the most common household plants, these lilies love moist soil and moist air.

All of these humidity-loving plants have something else in common, too! They all help remove impurities from your air. Coupling that air cleaning power with some healthy humidity from an AIRCARE humidifier can help make your home’s air the best on the block.
