Our Best Humidifiers with Diffusers for Essential Oils

Most essential oil diffusers use water to work, so it makes sense that using a humidifier to diffuse essential oils will give you the benefit of both products — a diffuser for aromatherapy and a humidifier to keep your air at a health humidity level. And since humidifiers are made to cover larger spaces than diffusers, you get the added benefit of aromatherapy for an entire room, not just a small area around the diffuser. NOVA

The ultrasonic NOVA is the easiest humidifier to use with essential oils because you can add them directly to the NOVA's water tank - no diffuser tray or pads required. Just lift the lid, add a few drops (or more!) of oil, then put the lid back on for up to 45 hours of aromatherapy. Our Customer Experience Manager, Kelly, tried this one out when she was sick.

DUET

The DUET is special because it can produce both cool mist and warm mist in one ultrasonic humidifier. The DUET does not have a heating element, so the unit will not produce steam, which makes it safe to use around children and pets. Instead, you get a warm mist from the DUET, which is great for congested babies or just making your space feel a little warmer during the winter. You can switch the DUET to the cool mist setting when you don't need the added warmth. The DUET has a large essential oil diffuser tray and uses pads so you can swap scents whenever you want.

AURORA

The AURORA is a really popular ultrasonic humidifier and diffuser, probably because it looks great in just about any room. With its small footprint, it won't take up a lot of space, but it's also mighty with a 1-gallon tank that runs for up to 24 hours per fill. Like the DUET, it has an essential oil diffuser tray that uses pads so you can easily swap out your oils. The AURORA is perfect for diffusing - and humidifying - rooms up to 750 square feet. The MESA is another ultrasonic humidifier that includes both a warm and cool mist setting. It's warm woodgrain design looks great just about anywhere. It has a large essential oil diffuser tray with a sponge-type pad that holds a lot of oil, and can be rinsed out when you're ready to change scents.
